JBAS Alumnae Reunion 2026 - "Invite"
JBAS College for Women is delighted to announce the Alumnae Reunion 2026, an occasion to reconnect with our esteemed alumnae and celebrate the enduring bond with our alma mater.
This year, the reunion will be held on 19th September 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Theme of the Reunion:
"Echoes of Excellence - Celebrating the Legacy of Leadership"
We invite interested alumnae to contribute to the newsletter by sharing:
- Articles or write-ups on their achievements and awards.
- Reminiscences of their college days.
- Poems.
- Paintings and sketches.
- Any other noteworthy contributions or accomplishments.
Alumnae are requested to submit their contributions on or before 30 August 2026.

PASTEUR CLUB
DEPARTMENT OF MICROBIOLOGY
HISTORY
The Pasteur Club of the Department of Microbiology was instituted in the year 2015 to commemorate the contributions of the great scientist and microbiologist Sir Louis Pasteur, the Modern Father of Microbiology. It was proposed to initiate the beginning of the multidisciplinary bioscience club for the benefit of students of afternoon session, Justice Basheer Ahmed Sayeed College for Women.
MISSION OF THE CLUB
- To inculcate healthy thinking and hygienic practices amongst students of different disciplines
- To motivate the student community to care for the society
- To promote the basic knowledge of basic medical sciences to all students irrespective of disciplines
- To improve the awareness of cause and prevention of various infectious diseases
VISION OF THE CLUB
- Popularisation of Basic and Applied Medical Sciences
- To keep abreast with the recent trends and development in the above mentioned fields
- Work with external partners to the benefit of the student’s community of JBAS college for Women

Cognizant for a Cause – be aware of health issues for the benefit of the society
LOGO
The background colour blue indicates healing and pink for women’s health.
As the club is health based, the logo has medically important bacteria and microscope.
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE CLUB
- Popularization activity- a talk in the assembly every month for 2-4 minutes
- Chit-chat club/Group discussion- for every two weeks once on local diseases
- Rally inside the campus
- Distribution of pamphlets on various diseases- cause and prevention
- Microbe of the month – A review on one microbe every month by Microbiology students –by power point presentation for 15 minutes
- Invited talk/lectures by medical professional on Infectious diseases
