Activities of Academic year 2013 – 2014
The student volunteers along with the programme officer DR.S. ALLIYA PARVEEN and other volunteers from various city colleges assembled at Valluvarkottam, Chennai with placards depicting and explaining to the common people The Seven Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross.They also participated in the Prayer Meet for World Peace. They also visited an orphanage and an Old Age Home, bringing cheer to the inmates.
On 21st March 2014, ten volunteers donated blood at Blood Donation Camp at the Red Cross Office, Montieth Road, Egmore. The volunteers rendered their service at the Government Ophthalmic Hospital, Egmore, from 5th to 11th March 2014, by helping the Out-Patients, the duty nurses and the traffic constables, thus rendering service to society.

It was my pleasure to be a Youth Red Cross representative of J.B.A.S College for women. My college gave a big opportunity to make changes and work for the social cause. Each and every activity added a new experience, my leadership quality was improved and I got a chance to visit various places and Orphanages. It was totally a different experience.
