(B.Sc Interior Design and Décor)

YEAR OF ESTABLISHMENT-2016

OBJECTIVE OF THE CLUB-

• To Develop Art And Craft Skills among non design students
• To Inculcate creativity through Hands On Training in Art And Craft
• It provides opportunities to be exposed to new techniques and mediums of Art.

POLICY/PROCEDURE-

• The department secretaries would convey the schedules  of the workshops with dates to the other department secretaries.
• The interested students would give their names for the workshop participation.
• Each Workshop had 25 -30 students of other departments.

INITIATIVES  TAKEN –

• The third year students were in charge for conducting aura club activities with the supervision of two faculties
• The best of the talented students were made in-charge of each workshop
• Maximum of two-three students were involved to support the activities of the workshops
• The materials were got by the students conducting the workshops

The club was inaugurated by Mrs. Thejo Mohan and is being mentored by Dr.Sajida Sultana and Mrs. Shakila Banu, Asst Professors, Department of Home Science.

BEST PRACTICE AND EVIDENCE OF SUCCESS:

• The club till date has a demand from the Faculty and the students of other Department to enroll themselves for the workshops being conducted.
• The creativity of the students is always enhanced and every year the third year batches actively divide themselves in groups and prepare themselves for conducting various workshops
• The participating non design students after the workshop felt rejuvenated and satisfied
• Every year the student’s creative works are admired ,when being displayed in annual exhibition
• In the year 2019-2020, the students had planned an unique concept of alumni reunion with their immediate super seniors and inviting them to create magic on the walls of Design Studio which they had spent three years and to cherish their old memories.
