ACTIVITIES OF THE RI FORUM (2020-2021):
The RI FORUM of 2020-2021 was indeed a different year altogether. All activities that are usually conducted by the forum were smoothly conducted via an online zoom platform. This platform proved to be more beneficial and flexible, since students, teachers and speakers could join from any part of the world, and from the comforts of their homes.
Weekly bayans were conducted on Friday evenings consistently and council for peace classes were organised for the benefit of the students on a Sunday morning. At times, International Webinars were organised and E-Certificates were distributed for the same. Students also participated in word for word classes handled by Dr. Rizwana Begum, Professor - Department of Biochemistry. An Orientation Programme was conducted at the beginning of the academic year to welcome the freshers. Alhamdulillah.
Just Bliss'21, the most awaited event of the year, was indeed a huge success despite the ongoing pandemic. The event was initially organised on a small-scale offline platform, but due to the new rules put up by the government, it was smoothly implemented online. Alhamdulillah, being well versed in the online platform due to the regular and consistent Friday bayan, it wasn't a huge task altogether. Just Bliss'21 had 7 competitions, which was judged by 7 speakers of our weekly bayan from the comforts of their home. Our guest speaker, Mrs. Mubeen Irshad, the Director of "Story Carpet", who believes in transforming children and adults through storytelling, public speaking and creative writing, inaugurated the event. In spite of the sudden shift in platform, the representatives and students adapted to the change and gave their best to represent their department. The winners received trophies and certificates, and an overall trophy was also given to the department which won the majority of the events.
Lastly, to wrap it all up, an RI Annual exam is conducted based on the books, "Islam - Beliefs and Teachings ~ Ghulam Sarvar" for the UG & "A Treasury of Hadith and Sunnah" for the PG students.
