JBAS Alumnae Reunion 2026 - "Invite"

JBAS College for Women is delighted to announce the Alumnae Reunion 2026, an occasion to reconnect with our esteemed alumnae and celebrate the enduring bond with our alma mater.

This year, the reunion will be held on 19th September 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Theme of the Reunion:
"Echoes of Excellence - Celebrating the Legacy of Leadership"

We invite interested alumnae to contribute to the newsletter by sharing:

  • Articles or write-ups on their achievements and awards.
  • Reminiscences of their college days.
  • Poems.
  • Paintings and sketches.
  • Any other noteworthy contributions or accomplishments.

Alumnae are requested to submit their contributions on or before 30 August 2026.

Activities of Academic year 2018 – 2019

To emphasize on the importance of health and holistic well-being an awareness program was conducted under the auspices of Fathima Akhtar Health Club on 19th September 2018 on the topic : “Kidneys and Women’s Health”. The Chief Guest for this program was Dr. D.Surendar, Consultant Nephrologist, Tamil Nadu Government Multisuper Speciality Hospital, Omandurar Estate, Chennai. In the inaugural session he gave a remarkable presentation on the topic ‘Chronic Kidney disease – Where do we stand?”. The second session was taken up by Mr. R. Jayakumar, Faculty – Renal Dialysis, Tamil Nadu Government Multi Super Speciality Hospital, Omandurar Estate. He highlighted on Hemodialysis & Peritoneal Dialysis Procedures. The third session was by Prof. Dr. R. Govindarajan, Professor and Head, Dept. of Urology, Govt. Kilpauk Medical College and Hospital. He gave an awareness lecture on Kidney Stones - Causes and Management. In order to involve students and create more awareness interdepartmental Cookery Contest on – Kidney Friendly Recipe and a poster Competition on “Kidneys and Women’s Health” were organised and prizes were awarded. All the sessions were interesting and interactive. Around 300 students of our College were benefitted by this program.
