The department of electronics with Artificial intelligence organized the inauguration of the “ELECTRO TECH CLUB”on 21st August 2025 held in the library convention hall.The inauguration was graced by Ms. Aafiya Afsheen (distinguished Alumna) HR Executive - Nexus innovative solutions private limited, chennai. The distinguished Alumna emphasized the job scope in artificial intelligence,trends and a lot more in shaping future technologies. She highlighted the importance of AI in electronics and encouraged students to actively participate in AI and innovation.

ELECTRO TECH CLUB INAUGURATION - 21st AUGUST 2025

The Department of Electronics with AI organized an E waste collection drive and awareness program to commemorate the international e-waste day on the topic “THINK BEFORE YOU THROW: RECYCLE E-WASTE” on the college campus on 17th Sep 2025.

The accumulated e-waste totalling 2145 kg was handed over to the “Victory Recovery & Recycle Technologies Pvt., Ltd.

Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed with Victory Recovery & Recycle Technologies India Pvt. Ltd. to promote awareness on E-Waste.

The Department of Electronics and Communication Science at Justice Basheer Ahmed Sayeed College for Women, Teynampet, Chennai arranged a Workshop and Industrial Visit in collaboration with MEC Solar, in association with the Andhra Chamber of Commerce and Shizen Energy. The event, titled "SHEnergy 2025 – Battery Energy Storage System," was conducted on 17th July 2025 at the Andhra Chamber of Commerce, Chennai. Our Department Alumna student Ms.Sakthi Maheswari.S (passed out Batch 2021-2024) organized the free workshop cum factory visit.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO SHIZEN ENERGY

Following the workshop sessions, the students were taken on a guided tour of Shizen Energy’s facility located in Poonamallee, Chennai. During the visit, the team at Shizen Energy walked the students through various sections of the company, including the operational floors and manufacturing units. This was organised in order for the students to observe different stages of product development and assembly, gaining valuable insights into the processes involved in lithium-ion battery technology and energy systems.

The Department also organized a four-day workshop titled “Data Science and Analytics” from 27th Jan 2026 to 30th Jan 2026 in association with “Pantech Solutions India Pvt. Ltd.”

The workshop provided a comprehensive understanding of Python programming, data analysis, visualization techniques, and fundamental Machine Learning concepts.

WORKSHOP ON DATA SCIENCE AND ANALYTICS - 27th to 30th January 2026

As part of the syllabus another Industrial visit to the “Radio Astronomy Centre, Ooty” was organised from 14th Feb 2026 to 16th Feb 2026. During the visit the students can understand how radio waves from space are collected, amplified and analysed to study about the distant celestial bodies.ts.

E-Quiz was organized to commemorate National Science Day on February 28, 2026, for which 217 participants took part. Both events aimed to promote awareness and knowledge of electronics among school and college students through interactive learning.
