YEDC INAUGURATION REPORT 2023

The Inauguration of Young Entrepreneur Development Council was held on Saturday 05th of August 2023.

Mrs Sundari, Entrepreneur and Alumna batch of 1989 was the chief guest. . The Guest of Honour shared her inspiring success story to the students ,she also stated that building a strong relationship with the customers and maintaining loyalty is very important. The Investiture ceremony took place for the Current office Bearers of both Forenoon and Afternoon Sessions. The guest presented badges to the YEDC Members and Coordinators of both Forenoon and Afternoon Sessions. The Prize and Service cups were awarded to the previous batch students. The Guest of Honour also awarded The Best Seller Award’ to the winners of Student Bazaar event conducted in the year 2022-23 and the Service trophies to the Former YEDC Council Members..

YEDC AWARENESS PROGRAM REPORT 2024

The Young Entrepreneur Development Council had it’s Awareness Program on Tuesday 2nd of January 2024. The focal point of the program was the engaging discourse led by Ms. Sujaya Rao, an esteemed Mentor for Entrepreneurship Development, who emphasized the significance of self-empowerment in the entrepreneurial journey. Ms. Rao highlighted the pivotal role of skills development in fostering an entrepreneurial mindset. She specifically mentioned the crucial support provided by The Government through initiatives like The UNOM EDII NAAN MUDHALVAN SCHEME (NIRAL THIRUVIZHA). its purpose in enlightening and inspiring the attendees, providing a platform to understand the essence of entrepreneurship and the support available for budding business enthusiasts.

WORKSHOP ON UPCYCLING

A workshop was conducted on 12th January 2024 on the theme Upcycling- “Waste is not waste until you waste It”. Ms. Ramya and Mrs. Manjula were the resource person for the workshop. The students were given hands on training on how to make door mats using old clothes and accessories using the waste materials. It was for both forenoon and afternoon students. The concept of the workshop is to make best use of available resource and take this as small business.

STUDENTS BAZAAR 2024

The Young Entrepreneur Development Council proposes to conduct the student bazaar for the students of both forenoon and afternoon on 28th and 29th February 2024. This bazaar is organised to bring out the talent of the budding entrepreneur and the Best Seller is Awarded.
