JBAS Alumnae Reunion 2026 - "Invite"

JBAS College for Women is delighted to announce the Alumnae Reunion 2026, an occasion to reconnect with our esteemed alumnae and celebrate the enduring bond with our alma mater.

This year, the reunion will be held on 19th September 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Theme of the Reunion:
"Echoes of Excellence - Celebrating the Legacy of Leadership"

We invite interested alumnae to contribute to the newsletter by sharing:

  • Articles or write-ups on their achievements and awards.
  • Reminiscences of their college days.
  • Poems.
  • Paintings and sketches.
  • Any other noteworthy contributions or accomplishments.

Alumnae are requested to submit their contributions on or before 30 August 2026.

Activities of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell for the academic year 2017-2018

The Faculty Enrichment Programme was organized by the IQAC in collaboration with ID Matrix on 1st July and 30th October 2017. The resource person was Dr. Samuel Johnson from VIT. The 2 workshops focussed on Mentoring Skills and Mind Mapping and Multiple Intelligences.

The Orientation programme for Freshers' was conducted on 29th and 30th of June 2017. The topics covered were brief history of the College, facilities available in our College, health and hygiene, self esteem, motivation and communication skills

On 14th of September 2017, a special lecture was organized for the first year students on the topic Train your Brain by Mrs. Vijayasaraswathy, a student trainer.

On 22nd September, the IQAC organized Stakeholders Meet- Students Interface. The resource person was Shri. Naved Masood, Public Interest Director at National Stock Exchange of India Ltd.

On 9th of October 2017, Dr. Sangeetha Madhu, Clinical Psychologist, Founder and Consultant at, Chennai Institute of Learning and Development(CHILD) encouraged the students to have a positive attitude as it was World Mental Health Day.

On 15th, 16th & 17th November 2017, another Faculty Enrichment Programme on Self Exploring was organized in collaboration with ID Matrix. The resource person was Mrs. Pramila Devi, Corporate Trainer.

On 3rd February 2018, a workshop was organized on “New Vistas in Teaching Learning” by Mr. Mohammed Kaasim from IIT Mumbai. It was followed by another session on Curriculum Design by resource persons from various disciplines.

On 2nd March 2018, Dr. Sethuraman, Gandhigram Rural University delivered a talk on Understanding the BenchMarks

On 3rd of March 2018, IQAC under the banner of the Stakeholders Meet conducted Parents -Teachers Interface (Forenoon & Afternoon session). It was used as a platform to inform the parents of the various opportunities available to the students in our Institution and the responsibility of the parents to motivate their wards.

On 31st March 2018, a workshop for Non-Teaching Workshop titled Work Life Balance was organized by the IQAC in collaboration with Giant leap learning solutions Pvt. Ltd.
