The Management proudly announces the award of an outstanding A++ Grade with a score of 3.58 (CGPA on a four point scale) in the fourth cycle of Accreditation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council of India (NAAC). The College continues to maintain its premier position amongst the Arts and Science Women's Colleges, not only in Chennai city but also in the entire state of Tamil Nadu.

The NAAC Peer Team members constituted of the Chairperson, Prof. Prakash Babu Phanithi, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Department of Bio-technology & Bio- Informatics, School of Life Science, University of Hyderabad, Telangana, the Member Coordinator Dr. Kuldip Kaur, Professor & Head, Punjab school of Economics, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Punjab and the Member Dr. Sanjukta Mohapatra, Former Principal, Shailabala Women’s Autonomous College, Cuttack, Odisha.

FELICITATION CEREMONY – NAAC ACCREDITATION

In commemoration of this remarkable accomplishment of our Institution, the Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru. M.K. Stalin was invited as Chief Guest for the felicitation ceremony on the 30th of May 2022. Thiru. K. Ponmudi, Honourable Minister for Higher Education, Thiru. M. Subramanian, Honourable Minister for Health and Thiru. P.K. Sekar Babu, Honourable Minister for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments were also present on this occasion.

In the Felicitation address, the Hon’ble Chief Minister expressed his immense happiness in being invited to the College. He was delighted to learn that one lakh students have graduated from this esteemed institution which is a testament to the founder, Mr. Justice Basheer Ahmed Sayeed, who had the foresight to build a women’s college back in 1955. He was moved by the exemplary service provided by alumnae achievers in various capacities which represents a watershed moment in the Institution’s history
