The Alumnae Reunion for the academic year 2022-2023 was held on Saturday the 23 rd  of July 2022 in the College Auditorium at 10.45 a.m. Many alumnae from different batches (1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and 2000- 2021) participated in the reunion to renew their connections with their alma mater. The meet provided a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with friends and recall their memories. The theme of the Reunion was ˜Success Stories- Yes We Can”.

The Alumnae Achievers were felicitated by the Chief Guest.

Dr. Ummay Rubab, Assistant Professor, Department of English presented the Lifetime Professional Achievement Award.

1.     Mrs. Bhavani Balasubramanian  (Class of 1974, Department of Commerce) an accomplished Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary and
2. Dr. R.Subhashini      (Class of 1978, Department of Psychology) currently the Dean, HOD at the Madras School of Social Work were recognised and felicitated with Lifetime Professional Achievement Award.

Mrs. Anis Fathima Faisal, Assistant Professor, Department of English presented the Distinguished Alumnae Achiever Award.

3.      Dr. Modhumitha Das Gupta (Class of 1990, Department of Botany), Scientist, was conferred the Distinguished Alumnae Achiever Award

Mrs. Syeda Amatul Fattah, Assistant Professor, Department of English presented the Alumnae Achiever Award.

4.     Mrs. Nusarath Parveen  (Class of 1996, Physics), Assistant Sector Officer in Indian Coast Guard, Ministry of Defence and

5.     Mrs. Suganya Udayakumar  (2009, Zoology) a successful Entrepreneur, received the Alumnae Achiever Awards.

Mrs. Sara Sameera, Assistant Professor, Department of English presented the Young Alumnae Achiever Award.

6. Mrs. Alima Zehra, (2012-Psychology), Head, Department of Psychology, CTTE College for Women, Chennai and

7. Ms. Sneha R (2019- Microbiology) Professional Swimmer and National Gold medalist were conferred with the Young Alumnae Achiever Awards.

In their award acceptance speech, the winners reminisced about the college days and acknowledged the various ways in which they were moulded by their alma mater.

Mrs. Bhavani in her speech remembered with gratitude the efforts of the esteemed founders Justice Basheer Ahmed Sayeed and Mrs. Fathima Akhtar in establishing an institution which upheld the values of secularism and inclusiveness.

Dr. R. Subhashini fondly remembered her professors who nurtured a passion in her which helped her succeed in her life.

Dr. Modhumitha Das Gupta recollected how the institution gave equal importance to curricular, co-curricular and extracurricular aspects of education.

Mrs. Suganya Udayakumar highlighted how the various scholarships provided by the management helped many students like her in successfully completing their degree.

Mrs. Nusarath Parveen, Mrs. Alima Zehra and Ms. Sneha recollected how the institution and the professors supported the development of every student enrolled in the college.
