JBAS Alumnae Reunion 2026 - "Invite"

JBAS College for Women is delighted to announce the Alumnae Reunion 2026, an occasion to reconnect with our esteemed alumnae and celebrate the enduring bond with our alma mater.

This year, the reunion will be held on 19th September 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Theme of the Reunion:
"Echoes of Excellence - Celebrating the Legacy of Leadership"

We invite interested alumnae to contribute to the newsletter by sharing:

  • Articles or write-ups on their achievements and awards.
  • Reminiscences of their college days.
  • Poems.
  • Paintings and sketches.
  • Any other noteworthy contributions or accomplishments.

Alumnae are requested to submit their contributions on or before 30 August 2026.

Report on Graduation Ceremony 2018 Report - 31.08.2019

Justice Basheer Ahmed Sayeed College for Women had its Graduation Day celebration on 31st August 2019 in the College Auditorium. Dr. R. Ravanan, Joint Director of Collegiate Education (i/c.), Chennai Region, Chennai – 15 was the Guest of Honour.

The programme started with the recitation of the Quranic Verses and rendering of its English translation. Mr.Faizur Rahman Syeed, L.L.B., (Bar-at-Law), Secretary, S.I.E. Trust & Correspondent, J.B.A.S. College for Women (Autonomous) declared open the Graduation Ceremony.

The Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Shanaz Ahmed delivered the Welcome Address and welcomed the gathering.

The Chief Guest Dr. R. Ravanan began his address by congratulating the students and the parents. He stated that the College had been working for the past 63 years for Women Empowerment. He said that the transition from College to the real world would be difficult for the students and hence asked them to be fearless, committed and confident. He quoted Swamy Vivekananda by asking the students to perceive their goals and pursue them. He advised the students not to compare themselves with others as this leads to insecurity. He insisted the students to learn multiple skills too and maintain a positive frame of mind.

This was followed by the presentation of degrees by the respective HODs of all the 16 UG, 8 PG & M.Phil. Departments. On the whole around 1200 Graduates were awarded degrees by the Chief Guest.

After receiving the Degrees the students took the Pledge which was administered by the Principal. The Principal announced the dissolution of the Graduation Ceremony.

The Ceremony came to an end with the rendition of the National Anthem
