JBAS Alumnae Reunion 2026 - "Invite"

JBAS College for Women is delighted to announce the Alumnae Reunion 2026, an occasion to reconnect with our esteemed alumnae and celebrate the enduring bond with our alma mater.

This year, the reunion will be held on 19th September 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Theme of the Reunion:
"Echoes of Excellence - Celebrating the Legacy of Leadership"

We invite interested alumnae to contribute to the newsletter by sharing:

  • Articles or write-ups on their achievements and awards.
  • Reminiscences of their college days.
  • Poems.
  • Paintings and sketches.
  • Any other noteworthy contributions or accomplishments.

Alumnae are requested to submit their contributions on or before 30 August 2026.

DEPARTMENT OF Hindi

History

The Department of Hindi was Started with the Inception of the Institution in the  year 1955  Under the Headship of  Mrs. Rukmani followed by Mrs. Faridha Begum , Dr. R. Mumtaz joined the Department in 1972 and served the department for three decades, Dr.Sheerin Banu .J rendered her service for 8 years. The Department offers Part-1 Hindi to the B.A/B.Sc and B.com Students.

 

Vision
  • To impart knowledge of Hindi by inculcating an understanding of the importance of Hindi in students and expose them to its rich literature which in turn helps to develop moral values and national integrity.

 

Mission
  • To enhance Hindi language skills of the students for practical communication and to imbibe social and ethical responsibility towards the Nation by providing value based education. To create awareness on the social and environmental issues through the rich Hindi Literature.

 

  Highlights
  • The Department organises Association meeting and Inter – Departmental competitions every year under the banner “SPARSH”.
  • The Students of the department of Hindi are encouraged taking active part in the Inter – collegiate competitions held in various city colleges.
  • To improve the student’s skill in spoken Hindi, Group discussion and conversation classes are conducted.
