ALUMNAE REPORT


A report on Medical Health Check-Up Camp organised by the Alumnae Association The Alumnae Association of Justice Basheer Ahmed Sayeed College for Women, in collaboration with Dorcas Healthcare Services, JS Global Hospitals, and The Eye Foundation, organized an outreach programme—a Medical Camp titled “Wellness Warriors: Care for Caregivers” - for the parents and supporting staff of the institution. The camp was held at the Sports Pavilion on 25th March 2026.

The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Shahira Banu, Vice Principal (Class of 1989), who delivered the keynote address, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing the health and well-being of caregivers. The initiative was spearheaded with remarkable dedication by Dr. Subhashini,retired Head Department of Psychology and a distinguished alumna (Class of 1980). Her efforts in bringing together a proficient team of medical professionals were truly praiseworthy. Mr. V. Benjamin Franklin, CEO of Dorcas Healthcare Services, was also present and played a key role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the camp. During the programme, beneficiaries were offered consultations and screenings for dental, ophthalmic, and gynaecological concerns. The medical team from Dorcas Healthcare Services included Dr. Suganya (Gynaecologist), Dr. Pavithra Sree (Dentist), and Dr. Aparna (Dentist), along with the team from The Eye Foundation. The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation, with nearly 110 individuals benefiting from the services provided. The event concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Rayeesunnisa, Joint Secretary of the Alumnae Association.
