JBAS Alumnae Reunion 2026 - "Invite"

JBAS College for Women is delighted to announce the Alumnae Reunion 2026, an occasion to reconnect with our esteemed alumnae and celebrate the enduring bond with our alma mater.

This year, the reunion will be held on 19th September 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Theme of the Reunion:
"Echoes of Excellence - Celebrating the Legacy of Leadership"

We invite interested alumnae to contribute to the newsletter by sharing:

  • Articles or write-ups on their achievements and awards.
  • Reminiscences of their college days.
  • Poems.
  • Paintings and sketches.
  • Any other noteworthy contributions or accomplishments.

Alumnae are requested to submit their contributions on or before 30 August 2026.

NSS ACTIVITIES-2019-20

The Justice Basheer Ahmed Sayeed College NSS units function with four Programme Officers viz. Dr Parveen Sultana, Dr Lalitha, Dr Mallika Begum, Dr Agthar Begum. and 400 NSS volunteers. This academic year, as part of regular activities, twenty-one events were conducted namely World Yoga Day, Orientation Programme for Freshers, Waste Management Programme, Population Day Rally, Road Safety Awareness, Mythri Training Programme, Organ Donation Programme, Health Talk on PCOD, Volunteering for S Foundation, Work shop on communication, Self Defence Workshop, a series of programmes related to Constitution Day, Bharathiyar Walkathon, World Cancer Day, AIDS Awareness, Hospital Visits, Blood Donation Camp, Chennai Marathon Volunteering, Nurses Award programme, and Recognition Award programme.

There was a seven-day Special Camp wherein nearly 75 students took part to serve the neighbouring slums namely Sathya Moorthy Nagar, Thiruvalluvar Nagar, Baruva Nagar and Thiruvika Nagar. Their service included cleaning the area, creating awareness of cleanliness, conducting health camps like Dental Camp, Eye Camps and General Medical health Checkup camps, and competitions for the beneficiaries and children. Special training sessions on personality development, management, women's Health, and Entrepreneur Development were organized to pave the way for the overall development of one's personality.

Apart from the regular and special camp activities, two mega projects called Swachhta Pakwara and Swachh Bharat Camp were organized. While the Pakwara activities were conducted within our college and the sister institutions, Swachh Bharat Camp was conducted in Keerapakkam village where the renovation and restoration of the playground and the planting of trees around the boundaries of the playground were carried out and games were flagged off for the school children in the presence of local panchayat heads and the Registrar of B.S.Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology.
