ANTI DISCRIMINATORY CELL

BRIEF REPORT ON THE AWARENESS PROGRAMME CONDUCTED BY ANITDISCRIMINATOR CELL/OBC CELL DURING THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2017-2018

The Anti discriminatory Cell/OBC organized an awareness programme on the topic “Schemes for Welfare of minority and backward community students” on 30.1.2018. The program was conducted in the seminar hall from 11.00 am to 1.00 pm. The resource person for the program was Mr. Sunder Rasu, Center Manager, Samarthanam trust. The program commenced with the Welcome address given my Mrs. J. Shobana, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry. The resource person for the day, Mr. Sunder Rasu explained about the various government schemes and opportunities available for the student community in general and the minority and backward community students in particular. He motivated the students by narrating the struggles he faced in his life and how he overcame it. The program ended with vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Amutha Ramalingam, Assistant Professor, Department of Tamil.
