JBAS Alumnae Reunion 2026 - "Invite"

JBAS College for Women is delighted to announce the Alumnae Reunion 2026, an occasion to reconnect with our esteemed alumnae and celebrate the enduring bond with our alma mater.

This year, the reunion will be held on 19th September 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Theme of the Reunion:
"Echoes of Excellence - Celebrating the Legacy of Leadership"

We invite interested alumnae to contribute to the newsletter by sharing:

  • Articles or write-ups on their achievements and awards.
  • Reminiscences of their college days.
  • Poems.
  • Paintings and sketches.
  • Any other noteworthy contributions or accomplishments.

ANTI DISCRIMINATORY CELL

BRIEF REPORT ON THE PROGRAMME CONDUCTED BY ANTIDISCRIMINATORY CELL DURING THE YEAR 2020-2021

The Anti Discrimintory Cell organized a programme on the topic Thadakalai Thaandi on 6.3.2021 through online mode. The program was primarily aimed to keep the fighting spirit alive in today™s generation and to maintain the positive attitude of the students in the tough times of Covid.

Dr. Parveen Sultana, Assistant Professor, Department of Tamil, JBAS College for Women was the resource person for the event and she focused on motivating the students by way of quoting examples of real-life situations and further she explained the need of maintaining strict discipline, clean habits and personal integrity in day to day life. More than 300 students of both day and evening college participated in the event organized using Cisco Webex meet and the students were highly motivated by the speech of Dr.Parveen Sultana, which was evident from the interaction the students had with the resource person during the question-answer session following the meet. A feed back form was circulated to the students and the feedback was recorded.

BRIEF REPORT ON THE PROGRAMME CONDUCTED BYANTIDISCRIMINATORY CELL DURING THE

The Anti Discrimintory Cell organized a programme on the topic Stand Upright in Adversity on 20.3.2021 at 11.00 am in google meet. The objective of the program was to make the students understand the importance of overcoming the discrimination whatever they face in society strongly with confidence and inner strength.

Ms. Grace Banu, Trans Rights Now Collective Founder & Director, Human Rights Activist and a Writer was the resource person for the day. She shared her own personal experience from her life with the audience and made them realize that she overcame all her problems and discrimination which she faced in the society with her own self confidence and will power. She also advised the students to develop their inherent strength and capacity, learn life skills and keep themselves updated with the technology which will help them as an individual to face the society in all situations. The resource person concluded her speech with her remarks that each one as an individual is unique and can reach the heights of success provided they follow the path of truth with confidence.
