    5. Quantum Club

  • In order to enable the learning of physics more enjoyable, the “Physics Club” was initiated by our Former correspondent Mr. Faizur Rahman Sayeed in the year 2012. The main objectives of the Physics club are
    1. To enhance creativity skills and knowledge of the students
    2. To create and develop interest towards learning Physics by having participative learning.
    3. To develop interest in coordinating the event and group learning.
    4. To enhance the ICT knowledge of the students.
From the academic year 2022 – 23 the Physics club has been renamed as “Quantum Club”. Every academic year, the student members of Physics club will be formed with a president, vice-president, treasurer and members. An inauguration of the Physics club will be conducted every year with a talk from a subject/field expert. The club activities will be conducted one for each semester in which students participate and exhibit their talents. Activities like Physics facts, connections, quiz, dumb charades, JAM (Just a Minute), Pictionary etc will be organized by the club members. The club is mostly a student centric activity where students learn to organize and participate in events. The club will have a valedictory function every year and the student members are recognized.

    6. To Develop Creative Thinking

  • The Department of Physics has two notice boards. To inculcate habit of reading everyday and creative writing students are encouraged to regularly display creative articles, latest news and facts related to Physics and Research on the notice boards. Prizes are awarded to the best 3 displays every year. Students are trained to collect interesting latest facts and information in Physics from books and through internet and present it during assembly.

  • 7. Use of ICT tools for learning and teaching purpose

  • The computer-aided learning is given the top priority. The use of LCDs and audio-visual aids in class-room teaching gives a glimpse of the virtual world. The internet connections are available in the department and library to enhance the scope of e-learning. The practices have had a positive impact on the students that has reflected in increase in the number opting for higher students in the subsequent years.
