ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN BY JBAS BIC DURING 2022-2023

1. Programme on Empowering Women in Business through Life skills is association with Centre for Women’s Studies was conducted on 12.09.2022 in the College Auditorium. Tmt. A.S. Kumari Chairperson State Commission for Women Tamil Nadu was the chief guest. All UG and PG students of both Forenoon and Afternoon Participated. An awareness was created on Domestic abuse and crime against women.
2. PROGRAMME ON Academic Startup Connection in association with Rotary club of Chennai North was conducted on 27.09.2022 in the Auditorium. Ms. Mary Amutha Managing Trustee, Grace Trust (NGO) Chennai, Rotarian PHF Thirupalu Charter President , Rotarian Anand Rotary club of Chennai Prime were the Chief Guests. All UG and PG students of both Forenoon and Afternoon Participated. An awareness was created on how to research and be innovative to do startup? And How to create a Boutique?
3. Programme on Empowered Women –Budding Entrepreneurs was conducted 21.10.2022 in association with Women Empowerment Forum, Chennai. Chief Guest Jayalakshmi A. IPS and Superintendent of Police, State Police Master Control Room spoke on starting new businesses by women. Budding Entrepreneurs shared their success story with all UG and PG students of both Forenoon and Afternoon session.
4. Workshop on Bridal Makeup and Henna was organised on 27.12.2022 in the Placement cell for our students. Resource Persons were Ummu Kulsoom III B.Com C Fariha III B.Com C Forenoon College and Ms. Hameeda Banu 2020 Batch Alumni and also a Makeup Artist . Participants were given Hands on training in Henna as well as in the Bridal Makeup.
5. Two Days workshop on Bathing Soap makng and Craft Jewellery was organised 0n 10.01.2023 and 11.01.2023 in association with Indian Science Congress Association for our students . It is a sponsored programme. Participants were given Hands on training in Soap making and Craft Jewellery
6. Workshop on Bakery Products was conducted on 9.2.2023. Resource persons were present B. Com students from FN session Ms. Juveria and Ms. Khatija Both students from FN and AN session participated and learnt the art of baking.
7. Workshop on Basic Chemicals was conducted on 8 3.2023 to commemorate International Women’s Day. Resource Person Mr. R. Siddheswaran is MSME Trainer from MSME Guindy He taught the participants to prepare Washing liquid soap, Hand wash liquid, Phenoyl, Dish wash liquid. Samples were distributed to the participants.
