Corporate Secretaryship & Information Systems Management
Profile of the Department:
The department of Corporate Secretaryship was established in 1993 and the post graduate degree was introduced in 1996. B.Sc (ISM) was further added to the department in the year 2001. The Department offers two disciplines viz. Corporate Secretaryship and Information Systems Management. Due to the overwhelming response for the Programme, an additional batch was introduced in the year 2010-11. The nomenclature of B.Sc. (ISM) was changed to B.Com. (ISM) in the year 2012-13. The Department offers power packed knowledge in the fields of Company Law, Management, Accounting and Computer Science. The subjects offered by the department are in tune with the requirements of the Industry. It is ably manned by 16 full time faculty members. The student strength of the department is 870.
The department had commenced the research programme, M.Phil. (Corporate Secretaryship) with effect from the academic year 2013-2014.

To provide excellent Corporate Secretaryship and Information Systems Management through a coursework which will augment the career prospects in the field. To instill value based education by incorporating moral, ethical, social and cultural values and thereby creating a holistic development in the students.
Mission:
To empower women students from economically and socially backward communities, irrespective of caste and creed with quality education in the field of Corporate Secretaryship and technology to develop their competencies. To equip students with the skills and abilities needed to adapt to the changing global scenario and gain access to career prospects.

The Department has signed an MOU with Madras Management Association (MMA) to undertake programmes in the areas of common interest namely: Providing resource persons for delivering guest lectures, organising workshops for promoting employability of students.

The Department has initiated and entered Institutional membership with The Madras Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) to participate and to undertake programmes in the areas of common interest namely :conferences in relation to trade, commerce and technology
