DEPARTMENT OF Corporate Secretaryship & Information Systems Management

History


The Department has two disciplines viz Corporate Secretaryship and Information Systems Management. The Department of Corporate Secretaryship was established in the year 1993 and Post graduate degree was added in the year 1996. B.Sc. (ISM) was further added to the Department in the year 2001.Due to the overwhelming response for the course, additional Batch was included in the year 2010-11. The Nomenclature of B.Sc (ISM) changed to B.Com(ISM) in the year 2012-13.

The Department offers power packed knowledge in the fields of Company Law, Management and Accounting. Subjects offered by the Department are in tune with the requirements of the Industry. It is ably manned by 16 full time faculty members. The student strength of the Department is 775.

The Department has commenced Research Programme with M.Phil (Corporate Secretaryship) with effect from the academic year 2013-2014 with student’s intake of 12 per batch.

Highlights

 

 The Department has entered MOU with Madras Management Association (MMA) to undertake programmes in the areas of common interest namely: Providing resource persons for delivering guest lectures, organising workshop for promoting employability of students.
