(under DBT STAR College Scheme)
The main objective of the training program is to provide hands-on experience in environmental testing aligned with NABL [ISO/IEC 17025:2017] accreditation standards.

Venue: Vijaya Pharma and Life Science., Paiyanur.
Beneficiaries: 40 students from I B.Sc Chemistry
The objective of this program is to mainly expose the students to an pharmaceutical industrial setup and to visually understand the different types of chemical reaction carried out in drug synthesis.

Commemorative days

“International Day Against Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking”celebrated on 26 th June 2023.  The department conducted a video contest on the theme ‘Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking’. The students of different departments were part of this contest. Dr,N.Sujatha, IQAC coordinator, JBAS college selected the prize winner and distributed the prizes.

“Mastering in Wax Sachets Making”

Beneficiaries: 42 students of I B.Sc Chemistry
The workshop focused on making the students learn the process of preparing various fragmented wax sachets. The resource person, Mrs. Suganya Udayakumar further highlighted the importance of becoming an entrepreneur and trained the students in making useful home products.

Dr.Afshan Sathar General Practitioner and Dialectologist was the resource person for the workshop.The objective of this workshop is (i) to make the participants learn basic techniques involved in life support mechanism (ii) to make them understand the significance of human life and the importance of first aid techniques (iii) to equip them with skill set essential in an emergency situation.

“Blood Chemistry and Instrumentation”

Venue: Stannis Institute of Allied Health Sciences, Porur
Beneficiaries: 48 students of II B.Sc Chemistry
The hand’s on training program helped the students to understand the various techniques involved in medical lab technology and improved their employability skill in the field of medical sciences.

Beneficiaries: 48 students from II B.Sc Chemistry
The objective of this program is to make the students understand the chemical process happening in leather industries starting from the raw material stage till the finished product. Students during the visit were made to learn the process of electroplating.
