“International Yoga Day” - It was conducted on 21st June. Our NCC company participated in the international Yoga day (IDY FROM HOME) organized by Ministry of AYUSH under our battalion 1TN Girls BN NCC. Our Associate NCC officer and 28 cadets participated in the event through Zoom App from 7am to 8.30am. The participants were provided E- certificate.
“Tree plantation pakhwada”-An online event of making Video creating awareness amongst the general public about the importance and conservation of trees was put forth by NCC directorate under ‘SWATCHH BHARAT ABHIYAN'. Around 35 Cadets actively participated in the event. The video was of 3 minutes duration included the Artworks (Drawing, kerchief Painting, Face Painting), Poetry,Photography, Narration and a small initiative by cadets plantingsaplings around their homes. The Video was uploaded in our official Instagram page @jbasncc on 14th July.
Our JBAS NCC Coy organized a ‘National level online Quiz on Defence Forces ' on 7th and 8th July. Around 200 participants attended the quiz. And the participants who obtained more than 60% were provided E- certificate.
FIRST OFFICIAL PARADE OF THE YEAR 2020-2021 (VIRTUAL): On 25TH July, Saturday, our first official parade of the year 2020-21 was conducted from 5pm-6pm.This was the first virtual parade conducted in the JBAS history. It was organised through Google meet App and Our Associate NCC officer and 65 cadets attended the meeting. The Cadets were instructed about the upcoming parades. It was an interactive session where Senior cadets spoke on their Camp experiences and achievements and motivated their Junior cadets and the Junior Cadets raised questions about the Selection Camps. The Rank promotions were announced for the Third years Cadets.
INAUGURATION PROGRAMME OF DGNCC App. The Launch of DGNCC app was an online video conference meeting was organised by the DG NCC (Lt.Gen.Rajeev Chopra) on 27th August 2020 from 10a.m to 11:30 a.m. at NCC directorate, fort St. George. The main purpose of this event was to launch the DGNCC training app to the cadets all over the state and an interactive Session of Cadets with our Defence Minister. Six cadets of our college took part in this event along with our ANO Major Dr S. Indira.
AATMA NIRBHAR BHARAT. An online event of making video creating awareness amongst the general public about the importance and conversation of AATMA NIRBHAR BHARAT. It was put through by NCC directorate under the title AATMA NIRBHAR BHARAT around 10 cadets actively participated in the event of August 15, 2020.The video was of 2.52 minutes duration which included the 3 languages Tamil, English, Hindi. To resuscitate every aspect of the economy from demand, supply to manufacturing and make self-reliant to sustain and negate the effect of any such pandemic on the Nation's economy in the future. Thus, Our JBAS NCC Coy as a contribute towards Nation building by creating awareness about the campaign has presented this video on ' Aatma Nirbhar Abhiyan ' by our Government. It was then uploaded in our Official Instagram page.
From September 25 to 27, SRM NCC conducted online Intercollegiate competitions 'SARVASHRESTH', In that 15 cadets from our JBAS NCC participated in every events such as Best cadet, Individual drill, Lecturette, Thal Sainik events like Field craft battle craft, health and hygiene, Map reading, obstacles training, and Tent pitching. The mode was Google meet & Zoom applications. the results were announced next day, September 28. We have bagged the following prizes,

2. Cdt. D Sujitha - FIELD CRAFT BATTLE CRAFT- 1ST PRIZE

During the last week of September 2020, Online EBSB Saptah camp was held, in that one of our Cadet, SGT M. Ayesha Saffrin participated in Solo dance, and attended online Camp from 10am to 2 pm for 7 days, Where She learned about the culture and tradition of Uttar Pradesh.
Our JBAS NCC organised a series of two WEBINAR on NEW EDUCATION POLICY 2020. The first webinar was on topic ‘Promotion of Cultural Integration through language’ on 5th October 2020 at 4pm and the resource person of this event was Dr.N. Sujatha, IQAC Coordinator and Head of the Department of sanskrit, JBAS College For Women. It was followed by another webinar on 11th October 2020 at 4pm on topic 'Developing Best Teachers'. The resource person of this event was Dr. Grace Helina, Head of Department of Exercise physiology and Biomechanics. The mode of the event was Google Meet. Around 100 participants were present throughout the event.
Our JBAS NCC organised a Webinar on PLASTIC WASTE MANAGEMENT on 11th December at 3pm. The resource of this event was our Ex-NCC cadet and EX-NCC Secretary Ms. Aaqila Rahman who is pursuing her Msc psychology in our college. She emphasized the proper and safe disposal of plastic garbage and also suggested some environment friendly measures for plastic management. Only the NCC Cadets of our college participated in this event and mode of meeting was Google Meet.
Two Cadets Cpl R. Sumaiya Suha and L/Cpl E. Shalini was selected for Inter Group competitions at Idiyapatti, Madurai which is conducted at state level for selection into Republic Day Parade, Delhi.
Cpl R. Sumaiya Suha and L/Cpl E. Shalini selected for Marina Republic camp. Due to covid-19 pandemic the CM Rally was cancelled.
Swacch Bharath Abhiyan at Egmore Museum. An offline event of statue cleaning at Egmore Museum on 22nd Jan 2021 from 9.00 am. 21 cadets of our college took part in this event along with our ANO major Dr.S. Indira.
Our Associate NCC Officer MAJ.Dr.S. INDIRA ,27 Cadets from second year and 16 cadets from third year attended Combined Annual Training Camp- CADRE CAMP from 22nd to 26th March 2021 at KRM MHSS, Perambur. Second year cadets had training for the first three days alone. Cadets underwent training in various subjects like Weapon Training, Map Reading, Kholna Jodna, Armed Forces, Disaster Management, Leadership and Personality Development, and Drill Competitions. Our Cadets participated in the Drill competitions in Collab with Ethiraj NCC Company & WCC NCC Company as a SQUAD and bagged Overall Runner Up Position with Senior Under Officer S. Veda priya from our college as Parade Commander. The Cadets were provided certificates from our Battalion.
Our JBAS NCC Conducted series of social activities and awareness programme from 7th march 2021 to 12th march 2021. The activities includes Illiteracy awareness programme at Housing board, Teynampet; Blood Donation Camp at VS Hospital, Chetpet; Baby Dumping awareness at canal street, Triplicane; National Art Gallery – Cleaning programme at Government museum at Egmore; Gender Inequality Survey at Guindy Railway Station.
