Profile of the Department:

The Department was established in 2005 with the vision to develop professionals in the field of tourism. The Department offers a bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Travel Management. The course is designed with the aim to produce trained and qualified professionals for the hospitality industry. With its focus on meeting the changing needs of the tourism industry, the Department has played a pioneering role in the professionalization of tourism education. The Department nurtures professional and managerial excellence, social and cultural sensitivity, moral and ethical responsibility with concern for the environment, and strives for the latest techniques. Seminars, workshops and guest lectures are organized periodically for the academic growth of the students. Students are involved in various co-curricular activities throughout the year to build their confidence, team work, social skills and interpersonal skills. The Department also offers Add-on Courses in German and Chinese.
