SPORTS AND GAMES ACHIEVEMENT FOR THE YEAR 2018-19

KHO KHO

Our college kho kho team won the first place in the following events:

I am happy to record that Archana of I B.com CS Geetha ,Gesthiyal mary, Gayathri and Harini of I B.com Were selected to represent South zone and All india inter University which was held at Mangalore .

Archana of I B.com CS and Geetha of I B.com were selected To represent Khelo india at Maharashtra.

KABADDI:

Our college kabaddi team won the second place in the following events:

Inter Zone kabaddi conducted at DB Jain college and our college won the third place.SDAT conducted state level tournament at Nehru stadium and our college team won the third place.

I place a record that Sanjana of I BA Economics and Pooja of II BA economics were selected to represent south zone and All India Inter University which was held at Bangalore.

CRICKET:

Our college cricket team won the second place in the following events:

Inter zone was conducted DRBCC hindu college and our college team won the second place.

Vadamalai trophy conducted by Chellamal college and our College team won the third place.

The following students are selected to representSouth zone and All India inter university which was held at Andhra university:Karthika of I MA economics, stephy of I MA economics and Aishwarya of III BA economics.

Madiha of III Bsc pshycology got a best women of the match award in State Level Cricket tournament

Ishwariya of III BA Economics got a best women of the match and overall champion award in State Level Cricket tournament

Our college throwball team won the second place in the following events:

• Buck tournament at YMCA College
• Sports fest at JBAS college
• State level tournament at VIT,vellore
• State level tournament at VIT,Chennai

SHOOTING :

I am privileged to mention that Narmatha Nithin of I BA Eng.Lit Selected to represent All India Inter University Shooting Competition held at Chandigarh(Punjab university)

SWIMMING :

S.Swetha of I Economics won the first place in 400 meters free style and second place in 50 meters free style conducted swimming competitions at VIT VelloreState level swimming competition conducted at Madurai She won the first place in 400 meters free style and first place in 100meters free style, second place in 50 meters free style. JBAS sports festival conducted state level swimming competition at JBAS college for women. She won the first place in 50meters free style and second place in 50meters Butterfly.

ATHLETICS :

A-Zone athletic meet held at University Union ground. I am happy to highlight that Our college Athletic team won the Overall first place.

Ms.M.Rohini of III BA History an athletic player represented State and All India Inter University held at Mangalore University, All India meet held at Bombay she won the second place in 400 meters, second place in 100 meters and second place in 4*100meters relay and also she represented many competitions and won many prizes.

BALL BADMINTON:

A-Zone Ball Badminton tournament was held at JBAS college our college team won the third place and Inter Zone Ball Badminton tournament was held in same college our college team won the second place. I am pleased to record that Amirtha Varshini of I BA Literature selected to represent All India Inter University which was held at Andhra University.

VOLLEYBALL:

A-Zone tournament was held at Queen Mary’s College our college Volleyball team won the second place and Inter Zone tournament was held at D.B. Jain college our college team won the second place.

WCC trophy conducted in WCC college our team won the Second place.

VIT Chennai conducted State Level Volleyball tournament our team won the first place.

TABLE TENNIS ,TENNIS,CHESS AND BADMINTON:

Our college team table tennis team, chess, tennis and badminton Second and third place in A-Zone tournament conducted in SIVET college, Queen Mary’s college and Guru Nanak college.
