The Academic Landscape in any field is ever evolving with new knowledge which is because of sustained research. The College strives to create a research culture that will help create inquisitive minds.
The College has established a Multi-Disciplinary Research and Consultancy Centre (MRCC) to further research activities in the College.
The major objectives of the MRCC are
- Encourage staff and students to actively pursue research in search of new knowledge
- Provide institutional assistance in undertaking quality research
- Frame quality initiatives that will enhance the research culture of the institution
- Assist Staff members to apply and take up socially relevant projects from various funding agencies.
- Create meaningful collaborations at the National and International levels
- Encourage staff to publish research papers in refereed journals with impact factor
- Communicate information regarding procedures to be followed for applying to various grants, funding agencies and guideship
- Create and maintain a Research Directory
- Conduct Research oriented programmes periodically
- Identify Consultancy avenues in different fields

Central Instrumentation Centre (CIC)
The Central Instrumentation Centre is a state of the art facility that helps interdisciplinary research possible. Equipment common to all science departments are housed at the Centre. The Centre is used by the Departments of Zoology, Biochemistry, Plant biology and Plant Biotechnology, Physics, Chemistry and Microbiology to carry out multi-disciplinary research studies.
High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Ion Analyser, UV Spectrophotometer, Semi-Auto Analyser, High Speed cooling Centrifuge, Trinocular pathological Microscopes, Streozoom microscopes and Laminar flow bench are some of the equipment housed at the MRCC.
The CIC also hosts workshops and Seminars for the faculty. The CIC is also used for hands-on-training sessions by the departments.

E-learning Centre
The E-learning Centre has computer systems with internet facility to provide access to online content to research scholars, both staff and students. Access to online databases and journals subscribed by the institution is available at the Centre. Staff and students can access The EBSCO database, N-list, DELNET and Sage databases. The Centre has installed statistical Packages that facilitates data analysis for both staff and students.

Incentives for paper publications
Paper publication is an integral part of academic work of staff members. Research publication is required to complete one’s doctoral work and also to become research guides. The management offers incentives to papers published in refereed Journals with impact factor.
